Angloa: Geography
Location
Angloa is situated in Western Europe, northwest of the Bay of Biscay and southwest of the British Isles. To its west it has the Atlantic Ocean. It has no land borders. There is a smaller island off its southern coast, Cantabria.
Climate
Nestled in the Bay of Biscay, Angloa typically sees harsher climates than other areas in the region. The north part of the country typically sees an Oceanic climate while the southern areas and Cantabria have a tendency for a semi-arid climate.
In late spring and early summer, a large fog triangle spills over the east coast of the island, covering a few kilometers inland. Typically, however, the summer months are warm, with coastal towns having higher humidity and the climate more dry and arid inland.
Angloan winters are harsh and rough, with the sea being particularly severe to travel. Heavy snowfall is not uncommon inland while the western and eastern coasts typically see more rainfall.
Vegetation
The Angloan inland consists of two large mountain chains breaking through it; the Alban mountain range at the north and the Durun mountain range at the south. Around 35 percent of the island is covered by forests where Raven's Grove is the largest, making up around 22 percent. On the southwestern part of the island there is a large wetland area called Myrth's Swamp.
